Crofton delivers Carbon Emission Reduction

Crofton Engineering were delighted to deliver significant carbon emission reductions year on year between 2023 and 2024.

When measured as total emissions against turnover, Crofton Engineering were able to reduce emissions by 35% year on year, reducing our tCO2e/ £1m turnover from 600 tCO2e down to 390 tCO2e.

These reductions were realised through a number of strategic methods such as targeting of refurbishment structural projects, value engineering of material content in structural projects, higher content of metalwork projects, where material content is lower and implementing further work from home opportunities to reduce commuting emissions.

Energy consumption was also reduced through utilisation of our Roof PV system, producing our own renewable energy.

These results are a significant milestone in Crofton Engineering’s Carbon reduction journey.
